Octopus is a publisher of illustrated non-fiction books for the international market, they asked for their new office to look non-corporate and stylish to
impress. It needed to reflect the publisher's creativity while keeping a warm, welcoming and professional atmosphere.
The new office's design revolves around the flexibility of the reception surrounded by two boardrooms. The area, which has panoramic city views, can easily be transformed into an elegant open space for corporate functions, i.e. book launches. Two corridors, heading from the reception to open plan desks, are used as galleries for domestic style pictures of Octopus' publications. The open plan desks have been strategically placed adjacent to external window to benefit from natural daylight. A bold colour palette has been used in a considered and controlled way to add depth and interest across the office.
