Sustainability has always been a central part of Artillery’s ethos. We strive to design to the highest environmental standards, lead by example in our office and influence those we work with.
Our designs incorporate strong environmental principles. We work to BREEAM and Green Star standards, challenging the working practices of our supply chain and clients.

All partners are vetted as part of our selection process, based on office environmental management systems, aspirations and accreditations.
Product selection
Before considering a product for our designs, we assess the following:
Reverse Garbage
We support a furniture reuse scheme where old furniture from our projects is either reused or recycled. This extends the embedded carbon lifespan of the furniture and is ethical and sustainable.
Beyond Carbon
Artillery works with Environmental Consultancy - Beyond Carbon to ensure that we reach the highest environmental standards in our work.
BREEAM and Green Star
We have two licensed BREEAM assessors who carry out ‘design and management’ and ‘operations’ assessments, in addition to bespoke BREEAM assessments.

- Percentage of recycled and reused content
- Location of extraction, harvesting, manufacturing and mode of transport to site
- Environmental accreditations
- If wood products are FSC certified and absent of formaldehyde
